John 1:4-5
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understooda it.

The Lord is light and the light cannot be overcome or understood by the darkness. Depression does not last forever, while some bouts with it last longer than others the end eventually comes with the light of Christ. How do you wait for the light?
